Old Dane Jack Rooke attends charity launch at Kensington Palace

Old Dane and Chorleywood-based comedian and presenter Jack Rooke was invited to Kensington Palace to the launch of the new charity campaign Heads Together last week as part of his work as ambassador for male suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign against Living Miserably). The Heads Together campaign is being supported by the Royal Foundation, and is the biggest single project spearheaded by its patrons, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, since it was established in 2009. The campaign consists of six mental health charities, including CALM, working together to end the stigma around mental health. Heads Together has been chosen as the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year, and is encouraging people to run the race to raise funds for this project.

The Duke of Cambridge has chosen CALM as one of the two charities from the six that he will be more closely involved with, and will be working with Jack on this project.

More details can also be found about Jack's visit to Kensington Palace and his ongoing work with CALM on the Chorleywood magazine website at

If you would like to run next year's London Marathon and support Heads Together and CALM  please see . For further information about CALM visit .

We wish Jack continuing success with the great work that he does as an ambassador with CALM and Heads Together, and look forward to future news about both charities.
